ABOUT MAGNUS PUMP
Magnus Pump, A Viking Pump Brand is a cost-effective porffolio of positive displacement pumps and accessories from one of the world's most trusted names in pumps. The standardized products series are all based on time -proven designs that have an excellent track record for consistent performance and reliable service.

The eight product series included in the new brand provide application coverage for the most common range of applications including thin liquids such as fuels and viscous liquids like heavy fuel oils and asphalt. Both internal and external gear designs are offered to provide application versatility. A variety of accessories including speed reducers and strainers are available. Pumps can be provided separately or as a complete units fully mounted on a baseplate with all required accessories and a driver.

All product series are backed by nearly 100 years of experience and know-how in producing pumps for customers worldwide. High quality materials and precision made components go in each Magnus Pump product. All Magnus products are produced to the same ISO 9001 quality control program as Viking Pump products.

When to use a MAGNUS Gear Pump
Magnus gear pumps reliably addresses many pumping applications that are typically very challenging for centrifugal pumps and others including:

Higher Viscosity Liquids With a viscosity range from 1 to 440,000 cSt (38 to 2,000,000 SSU). MAGNUS gear pumps are ideally suited to higher viscosity liquids, variable viscosities and are also commonly used on thin liquids such as fuels and solvents.
High Suction Lift Applications Wetted MAGNUS gear pumps can achieve suction lifts up to 5 to 6m (15 to 20 ft.) making priming far easier than standard centrifugal pumps.
When Constant Flow Is Needed MAGNUS gear pumps provide near constant flow, even at variable pressures, to match process requirements. No need for complicated control systems.
Low Flow Applications Magnus gear pumps excel at low flow operation with sizes that operate from 0.45 to 3,785 limin (0.12 to 1,000 USGPM), without the surging or instability other pumps experience.
Higher Pressures Standard MAGNUS gear pumps are available up to 17.23 BAR (250 PSI) even at lower flows and are typically less expensive than other types of pumps for higher pressures.
Special Liquids such as ketchup, printer's ink and chocolate that are shear sensitive or shear thinning.

Magnus gear pumps can handle all of these pumping challenges, and are more efficient and requires less horsepower when pumping at low flow conditions, modest to high head conditions, or any type of elevated viscosity.

series 32/432
Magnus Series 32/432 pumps are designed for handling a variety of fluids while directly connected to nominal speed motors. The Series 32 pumps are supplied with packing. The Series 432 pumps are supplied with time proven mechanical seal to eliminate leakage. Buna is standard seal elastomer with Viton and Teflon available as options. A ball bearing handles trust loading and is not exposed to liquid pumped. An integral relief valve is standard.

MAGNUS APP Series pumps combine efficiency, off -the -shelf application flexibility, and low cost. Seven models in four frame sizes offer capacities to 1,375 I/min (363 USGPM) at pressures to 862 kPa (125 PSI). They can be operated at 50 or 60 Hz motor speeds, eliminating the need for speed reducers or gear motors. SERIES 75/475
For compactness, less weight and simplicity of mounting, the MAGNUS Series 75 (Lip Seal) and 475 (Mechanical Seal) Close Coupled Pumps are ideal for direct connecting to a wide variety of drive equipment. These "gear -within -a -gear", self -priming, positive displacement pumps are ideal for filtering, circulating, transferring, lubricating, or booster service. All Series 475 pumps are available with either Buna or Viton mechanical seal suitable for 6.9 BAR (100 PSI) pressure. Series 75 comes with Buna lip seal suitable for 3.45 BAR (50 PSI). No modifications of parts are needed to convert from one seal to the other. Pump is provided with integral relief valve and mounted on casing to maintain extreme compactness.

SERIES 115
MAGNUS Series 115 pumps are engineered for small capacity applications in light to medium service duties. A greased radial bearing is supplied as a standard to assure smooth and quiet operation. The pumps are supplied with a multi -ring stuffing box. Mechanical seals in Buna, Viton and Teflon are available as an optional feature. Integral relief valve is standard.

SERIES 190
MAGNUS Series 190 pumps are designed to operate at nominal motor speeds. Ball bearings are heavy duty, grease lubricated type, over sized to with stand excessive thrust and radial loads while maintaining perfect shaft alignment. Pump is supplied with a Buna mechanical seal and "0" ring gasketing (Viton and Teflon are available options). The idler bushing is made of self lubricating carbon material assuring trouble free operation. Integral relief valve is standard.

SERIES 124
The MAGNUS Series124 pumps are designed and engineered for heavy-duty liquid transfer applications. The bearing housing is precision cast and accurately machined to assure positive pump and bearing alignment. The ball bearing is heavy-duty, grease lubricated type, oversized to withstand excessive thrust and radial loads, and does not come into contact with the pumping liquid. Pumps can be supplied with either packing or mechanical seal. Integral relief valve is standard. Jacketed features are available.

SERIES 332
The MAGNUS Series 332 pumps have been developed for high capacity and heavy-duty service for a wide range of pump applications. Heavy-duty roller bearings are grease lubricated, oversized to withstand excessive thrust and radial loads, and does not come into contact with the pumping liquid. Packing is supplied as standard. Mechanical seals are available as an option. Jacketed features are available, see Series 260.

SERIES 230 (JACKETED)
The MAGNUS Series 230 jacketed pumps are specifically designed to handle heavy viscous liquids requiring temperature control to maintain a flowing state. The pumps are rated to 6.9 BAR (100 PSI) differential pressure. The Series 230 pumps are supplied standard with jacketed casing and integral non- jacketed relief valve. The pumps can be supplied with jacketed head, jacketed rotor bearing sleeve, and jacketed integral relief valve as options. Packing gland is multi -ring and can be supplied with special packing for high temperature conditions when required. Mechanical seals are available as an option.

SERIES 260 (JACKETED)
The MAGNUS Series 260 jacketed pumps are specifically designed to handle heavy viscous liquids which requires temperature control to maintain a flowing state. They are the jacketed version of the 332 Series and are rated to 12.8 BAR (200 PSI) differential pressure. The Series 260 pumps are supplied standard with jacketed casing and integral non -jacketed relief valve. The pumps can be supplied with jacketed head, jacketed rotor bearing sleeve, and jacketed integral relief valve as options. Packing gland is multi -ring and can be supplied with special packing for high temperature conditions when required. Mechanical seals are available as an option.

STRAINERS
Our Lid -Ease® Simplex Strainers provide protection for your pumping system with low pressure drop. The inclined position of the strainer basket adjacent to the porting provides smooth flow patterns not found in conventional basket -type strainers.

The Lid -Ease® Simplex Strainers reduce cleaning problems encountered with conventional strainers. Simple lid rotation disengages the breech lock type lid permitting easy removal of the basket, and with that the need to completely drain the system is possibly eliminated. The relatively small physical dimensions of the strainer make installations possible in many systems that cannot even be considered with the usual large strainer furnished for compatible purposes. Designed with the weatherseal lid to protect the breech lock area from external elements, thus eliminating problems with lid removal, as well as have a drain plug to complete draining of strainer if needed.
REDUCERS
Magnus Series helical gear reducers are available in six reductions in the "B" and "C" sizes. All ratios are fully interchangeable with each gearbox. Both reducers contain hardened steel pinion and gear, supported by a precision ball bearing. The "B" and "C" reducers can be furnished with mounting brackets that have special bolt slots for easily matching drive and driven equipment and ensure no radial loads on reducer, drive and driven shafts.
Magnus Series "V" In -Line Reducers are compact, efficient, quite and cost effective. A rugged design make these reducers well suited for all rotary pumps, conveyors, mixers or virtually any equipment. They have the ability to handle from 0.37 to 261 kW (0.5 to 350 hp) with double reduction ratios ranging from 2.6:1 to 35.1:1 in 10 frame sizes. The input and output shafts are of high strength steel and are available with NEMA C and IEC flange input side adapter options for mounting versatility.
